July/August Courses
Monday to Friday inclusive
8.30 am Meet on top yard.
Hand in homework.
Prepare stables and collect ponies from the field
9. 00 am Feed ponies. Groom. Collect tack.
10.00 am Riding Lesson
11.00 am Drink & Biscuit
1l.15 am Stable Management Lecture
11.45 am Practical - tack cleaning etc.
12.15 pm Return ponies to field
12.30 pm Tidy up, sweep yard areas, collect homework.
Friday
8.30 am Meet & collect
ponies as usual
Groom ponies prepare for Test
10.00 am (approx) BHS Riding School Test
11.00 am Drink & Biscuit
11.15 am Finish off Test work
12.00 noon Results
12.30 pm LUNCH - Please bring a picnic
1.00 pm Start preparing for Show
2.00 pm 1st Class of Show commences
5.00 pm PRIZE GIVING
Parents, family and friends are welcome to come and watch the Show and cheer the children on in the Mounted Games which finish off the week. Please note that correct footwear and jodhpurs will be required for the Tests and the Show. Beige or cream jodhpurs are preferred but not essential. Hat, gloves, whip, shirt and tie are also required if possible, for both tests and the Show. A plain sweat shirt will suffice instead as shirts and ties are not as available as they once were.
